🇺🇸 The young man carrying the box who crosses the void symbolizes the human being transitioning to the beyond, carrying his Love baggage. His joy will be proportional to the Love he has given.
We then notice St. Francis, accompanied by a dog, symbolizing his love for animals, coming out of the bakery… Why the bakery? Because bread symbolizes Love. St. Francis has gathered bread to distribute to all… He thus reminds us of the miracle of the Multiplication of Loaves, where Love multiplies as soon as it is shared.
In front, we see the shepherd, who looks towards the Nativity. This shepherd gathers his flock to lead them to the Child who incarnates the new revelation: God becomes human to bring us His Love.
These symbolic characters are surrounded by comical scenes:
On one side, the blacksmith who hammers iron and disturbs the musicians, creating such a cacophony that the ladies come out onto the balcony intrigued, and the frightened goose runs away!
On the other side, the excessively jealous man who watches his wife talking to a merchant, while she is only negotiating the price…
🇮🇹 Il giovane uomo che porta la cassa mentre attraversa il vuoto simboleggia l’essere umano che passa nell’aldilĂ portando il suo bagaglio d’Amore. La sua gioia sarĂ proporzionale all’Amore che avrĂ dato.
Si nota poi San Francesco, accompagnato da un cane, che simboleggia il suo amore per gli animali, uscire dalla panetteria… PerchĂ© la panetteria? PerchĂ© il pane simboleggia l’Amore. San Francesco si è rifornito di pane per distribuirlo a tutti… Ricorda così il miracolo della Moltiplicazione dei pani, dove l’Amore si moltiplica non appena viene distribuito.
Davanti si vede il pastore, che guarda verso la Natività . Questo pastore raduna il suo gregge per condurlo verso il Bambino: è Dio che si fa uomo per portarci il suo Amore.
Questi personaggi simbolici sono circondati da scene comiche:
Da un lato, il fabbro che batte il ferro e disturba i musicisti creando una cacofonia tale che le dame escono sul balcone incuriosite e l’oca spaventata scappa!
Dall’altro, l’uomo eccessivamente geloso che osserva sua moglie parlare con un mercante, mentre lei non fa che negoziare il prezzo…
On remarque ensuite St François, accompagné d’un chien, symbolisant son amour pour les animaux, sortant de la boulangerie… Pourquoi la boulangerie ? Car le pain symbolise l’Amour. St François s’est approvisionné de pain pour aller le distribuer à tous… Il rappelle ainsi le miracle de la Multiplication de pains, où l’Amour se multiplie dès lors qu’on le distribue.
Devant on voit le berger, qui regarde vers la NativitĂ©. Ce berger rassemble son troupeau pour le mener vers l’Enfant qui nous apporte la Bonne Nouvelle: Dieu se fait homme pour ĂŞtre proche de nous et nous montrer son Amour.Â
Ces personnages symboliques sont entourés de scènes cocasses :

De l’autre, l’homme excessivement jaloux qui observe sa femme parler avec un marchand, alors qu’elle ne fait que nĂ©gocier le prix…
